Areas of activity and duties of the Vice-Minister Mantas Adomėnas

  • oversees Lithuania’s policy shaping and its implementation in the United Nations system, the Council of Europe, and other multilateral formats
  • supervises the coordination in the context of the implementation of international sanctions
  • supervises the expansion of relations with countries in the Middle East, Latin America and Africa
  • oversees the strengthening of the Neighbourhood Policy towards Eastern Europe, the expansion of bilateral and multilateral relations with the countries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the South Caucasus
  • is responsible for the issues concerning Lithuania’s development cooperation and humanitarian aid provision
  • oversees relations with the Jewish communities around the world, also supervises the issues concerning the Holocaust and the Jewish cultural heritage
  • supervises the implementation of cultural diplomacy
  • performs other duties as assigned by the Foreign Minister
