  • Oversees the shaping and implementing of the European Union policy, supervises the development of relations with the EU institutions.
  • Oversees the expansion of ties with European countries.
  • Supervises the preparation for Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the EU.
  • Oversees Lithuania’s foreign trade policy and participation in international economic organizations.
  • Is responsible for the coordination of the implementation of international sanctions.
  • Oversees the deepening of Lithuania’s development cooperation and the provision of humanitarian aid.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Foreign Minister.
